Josh Randall used to be on Ed, and he and the titular character had an ongoing ‘$10 Bet’ where they’d bet each other to do things like call a priest ‘Padre’ or order dinner only by saying ‘Burger me.’
He’s also playing ‘Doug’ on CSI, a recurring charatcer who “shares a history with Sara” (per CSI Files’s latest news).
Randall will first appear in this season’s tenth installment, “Risky Business Class,” tentatively scheduled to be the last episode to air in 2012. In the episode–which kicks off an arc for the actor–he’ll play NTSB investigator Doug, a guy’s guy who is good at his job. He shares a history with Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox), which resurfaces when he’s in town to head up a plane crash investigation. A former colleague of Sara’s from San Francisco, Doug finds himself still attracted to the now married CSI, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to take a friendly trip down memory lane. Elizabeth Devine wrote the episode, which is now in its second day of filming under the direction of Frank Waldeck.
You know what? I’m not at all opposed to him in this role.

He. Is. GORGEOUS! I really don’t know what people are getting all in a huff about. Maybe I’m being naive in thinking the writers will never break up Sara and Grissom, so why the heck not have this awesomely intelligent and handsome guy interested in her? Do we not complain that all the sex appeal was given to Catherine (now, in a way, Morgan)? If it means a Sara-centric story, I’ll take it!

Couldn’t agree more! But I think some, & a little myself, are getting in a little huff just because we are very protective of GSR & don’t like it being threatened in anyway shape or form. But I totally trust both sides of GSR, I know how much Jorja & Billy love GSR, so I’m looking forward to it because I didn’t think it would be long till someone was interested in her! She’s gorgeous!!! I’m sure we’ll see her tell him off or something fun like that:)

Being hit on is part of being a woman, married or not, that doesn’t stop the whistles! But in all seriousness, I’m just grateful the writers are dedicating time to her. That’s a lot more than we can say for some seasons.
To a comment below me – mvespinoza – who said anything about cheating? Sara is smart and self confident enough to have male friends, and just because he is still attracted to her, doesn’t mean it goes the other way.

I disagree with that “romance” I hate cheating in any way, plus how can you compare that boy with big daddy Grissom… It is just… nevermind!!

I’m only minimally worried about GSR. I don’t think there’s any way Sara would cheat, but I don’t know what the future holds for them if tptb insist on keeping Grissom out of Vegas. And I’m happy for a good-looking guy like this to be interested in Sara. Just keep GSR safe, please.
Remember that Hank cheated on his girlfriend with Sara. I don’t think Sara would ever do that to someone else, given how hard she took that.
I have since calmed down a bit since the first spoilers aired, and quite excited to see this episode.
Sara has great on screen chemistry with the men on the show, so I am excited to see if there is any here with Doug, and how far into Sara’s San Francisco days this will go, and if Doug knew about Grissom before coming to Vegas.
Maybe what will happen is that in the first episode will hit on Sara but she will politely turn him down and then over the course of the recurring episodes he will continue to flirt with her and occasionally ask her out, saying that her husband wasn’t there and commenting on their marriage like Betty did, but then finally in his final episode Grissom will return to Vegas and he will then back off.
That’s EPIC!!!

I hope Sara enjoys the attention of a young and attractive man, might even tell her hubby about him (and make sure send a photo of him too), that he asks her out. Maybe Grissom will forget about bugs and Moche and comes to his wife 
I saw a weird and funny dream. That Doug guy was trying to hit Sara and she kept saying no, I’m married. Finally Nick stepped in and asked which letter didn’t he understand N or O.
And then Doug asked how come Sara let’s Nick touch her. And Sara explaines that because Nick is like a brother to me and there isn’t anything sexual in our relationship and he isn’t trying anything. Nick puts his armes protectively around Sara and gives her a kiss to her forehead and says my little sister. I could almost see that dream happening.
