You know, I only trust these so far. They said the same things last year, but we didn’t get a whole lot.
Who’s new or returning: McGill says they’ll focus on the core cast this season — including, finally, answering the perplexing question: What’s up with Sara (Jorja Fox) and Grissom (the long-departed William Petersen)? He’s been in the jungle for years, but she’s still on the case — are they even married anymore? “We’ll answer that, in a way that may surprise people.” McGill says. “We’ll deal with her dissatisfaction with the long-distance relationship, and may find a resolution as to where the marriage is headed.” The season also will explore the relationship of Ecklie to his estranged CSI daughter Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) — and his romance with Hodges’ mom Olivia (guest Jaclyn Smith).

So take it with a grain of salt.
FWIW: They’re not breaking up Grissom and Sara. Both Billy and Jorja are too fond of the character’s relationships for that to happen. And don’t pin your hopes on a geek-baby, guys, we’ve been told many times that won’t be happening.

I am skeptical–the writers will spend so much time on the new characters, and DB’s family keeps growing. We’ll be lucky to actually hear Grissom’s name spoken during the entire season. And then it will be “Oh, we had so much going on….”
Yeah, that’s why I said take it with a grain of salt. We’ve heard this before.
Best advice I can offer for Season 13: Stay tuned.
no chances of a geek baby. that is just so sad.
I’ve been on the fence about a geek baby. Although I thought it would be nice for their storyline, I don’t think it would fit into the show (unless Jorja left again, and I don’t want that). But if the show concludes soon, I think it would be awesome.
I will remain skeptical about how, and how much, they handle GSR this season. The song, ‘Promises, Promises’ comes to mind. And, I hope you are right, Ipstenu, that they would never break them up. After all these years, it would be a killer for me.
I hope that solution won’t be a divorce. That would be surprising, like they hint in text, but still stupid. Writers would get angry letters. But I don’t think divorce is something what Jorja wants and if she is planning GSR… But let’s not say anything before something has really happened.
But no CSI Miami-way, please…
