I went to all those places in my head. It is possibly all three.
Either way, it’s a long way to February 20th.

Just when I thought we have given this epi a break, and will start the discussion about this near to the airing of the episode, Jorja decided to throw in her 2 cents.. Gotta love that girl, she looks amazing..

When I saw that post Jorja made I almost fell off my chair.
The shortest month of the year is going to feel like the longest month for the next three weeks. That’s also the week “Three Weeks to Daytona” arrives in stores.
Unfortunately it will take to come “3 weeks at Daytona,” here in Brazil …
But while “Forget Me Not” … Front of the TV does not go out of the front of the TV, nobody takes me!

Staying positive is the only way:) TPTB must love the attention, I bet they’lll release some horrible sounding- discussion provoking snippets closer to the date but we all know the only thing that counts is the episode itself.
A new comment? Besides the ones she’s made before as being pro GSR?
I think she probably means recent… I love watching old interviews from seasons 5,7,8, etc. but she hasn’t done any interviews for this season at all, let alone where she mentions GSR.
I hope she has some free time coming up at all when she can do one, but I know she’s got a ton of stuff keeping her busy:)
I went back and looked at her last interviews… I wonder if she’s not talking about it because we don’t know if Billy’s coming or not. Invariably they’ll ask her about it.
Also, I wonder if they’ve decided to kind of keep the whole GSR conversation to a minimum in interviews since (as far as I understand it) they wanted to show the tensions of the long distance relationship this season. If you’ve got Jorja in there talking a lot about the relationship and how much she does like it, it throws off the tension the audience feels in watching things unfold.
I think you’re right! It’s like how, for me, Sara dying in “Dead Doll” was a non-fear. I knew she was leaving CSI, and I knew it wasn’t in that first episode. But I sure sat on all the news I had because, in part, I was asked not to say anything, but also because it ruins the drama. There are spoilers and then there are spoilers that ruin.
The ship sinks is not a spoiler. Rose kept the necklace and tosses it into the ocean at the end would be a spoiler. (Neither are spoilers for a movie over 15 bloddy years old.)

(And while I too wasn’t too worried about death in Dead Doll, it was still the longest 4 months of my life up to that point and I’d like to not revisit it … oh wait … there I went. Revisiting it.) 
Seriously though, the writers know what they’re doing. Even recently, after Dead Air, they tweeted out in response to someone basically to trust them, they have a plan. (It was the tweet that reset my logic bunny, actually.) That plan gets muddled if spoilers like Billy coming back at all, or the marriage ending (or succeeding despite all the issues they’re having) gets out. So they throw things like hotel rooms and Basderic at the fan base knowing that we’ll take anything they give us.
What a great February we will be having. “Three Weeks to Daytona” hits DVD on Tuesday, February 19th, the Sara episode is on Wednesday, February 20th and the Academy Awards are on Sunday, February 24th.
I would love to see Jorja do a movie with Jennifer Lawrence.
Totally agree & understand what y’all are saying. There really isn’t anything safe that she could say that wouldn’t give it way to everyone, so it’s better if she stays away from having to say anything at all by doing no interviews & things.

And I wouldn’t want it ruined. I think we’ve all gotten enough spoilers to both be excited and nervouse, but we’ve also gotten a lot of reassuring things to keep us mildly calm

But you’re right, I guess there isn’t much she can say without it affecting the “drama” and producers wouldn’t want her doing that.
IF Billy was coming back for a cameo though wouldn’t TPTB want to advertise/publicise it, surely they could gain considerably more viewers than usual for such an episode?
Yes and no. The episode suddenly becomes all about Billy, which is bad for the long run. He’s not on the show anymore, so really he should be a once in a while draw, like Lady Heather (yes, I did that on purpose). Except we all want to see him so much, he throws off the balance more like having Obama show up.
I was thinking similar things. I mean, didn’t they leak info about Billy being in the 2 Mrs. Grissoms at the last minute? Yeah, there were rumors but nothing substantial until the end? The episode is about Sara and whatever is going on around her. It isn’t about Grissom. It’s too easy to get caught up in the hype.
They didn’t, Shauna. CTV (Canada) screwed up and leaked the news. It was supposed to be a surprise.
Oh yeah. I remember that now. Glad to know my memory wasn’t totally messed up. So yeah, back to the original conversation, we wouldn’t know if Billy is coming back. Not unless someone messes up.
Our little spies say he’s not for this episode (I hope for ep 21, when Laura Sidle’s expected to come back).
Ooooh. I didn’t know they were doing a second ep with Mama Sidle. Billy returning for that would actually work really well with the storyline they are developing with this long distance stuff. In Forget me Not, there’s going to be so much going on and you know that Sara is going to be like “No, Gilbert, I got this,” But to have him come back later, in an ep with Mama Sidle, and resolve the long distance stuff makes a lot of sense.
Oh good!! Mama Sidle is gonna be back! Totally see how it does work better for him to be in 13×21, & yes Sara will try & play it cool, but I’m interested to see how they’ll play it out w/o him at least on the phone or something… His wife is suspected if murder, & he doesn’t jump on the first flight to Vegas?? He waits for 6 episodes? If even then. But this is 100% a Sara episode, the way it should be

Mama Sidle’s expected to come back.?! Where did you hear this??
I don’t know for sure, but she was intended to be a more that one episode character, and the writers behind Forget Me Not are working on ep 21, so logically, y’know. Of course I could be wrong and that’s the episode where Doug comes back, but honestly I think Ma Sidle’d be a bigger draw.
Ugh. I know you’ve said Doug was expected back, but I was hoping he would just…. Go away. Lol So it’s possible… An episode with Doug, Mama Sidle, & an unlikely Grissom? That’s an… Episode.

Yeah… This quote from Billy during season 9 on Sara is helping to keep me calm & my logic bunny in check- “Of all the people in his life, in CSI, she is his heart. She is the heart of Grissom. If Grissom could go to that place of having a heart, she exemplifies what that is to him. And as he’s evolved over time, that’s become a bigger part of his life. His heart…. She has provided him the opportunity to touch his own heart and share that. And I think that he’s never had that before with anyone.”

IF Grissom was to visit any time this season (and I have no idea if he will, no spoilers, no nothing), and IF Ma Sidle does return in ep 21 (which again, the evidence suggests, but I have no concrete proof), I would say that would be the most logical time for it.
That said? Remember the Bomb And Ballistics Expert from … two seasons back who was supposed be recurring? They do drop these things sometimes :/

Seriously, I think more than anything else, I love that we’re getting a Sara storyline this season. They haven’t done much with her, other than her amazing bond with DB (which I LOVE) and so it makes sense to give her something like this. And, full circle, it’s something that is tugging on our heart strings. As long as they hold true to Sara’s character – and so far they seem to have – I can’t complain. I can wail and gnash my teeth, but I can’t complain.

No, but they finished filming ep 15 (and promo photos are due out soon…).
Has anyone concluded that the phone call where Grisson wanted to talk to Sara was to say ” he would be out of communication for awhile” it would only make sense. Since he is in the jungles of Peru and would not have cell phone signal and he going to an area where there is no land line. Just a thought on how they will explain his absent. Hopefully he will be back for May sweeps. This way he can say he just found out about Sara being charged with murder and the NTSB guy.
I actually asked the writer’s room twitter. They responded that we will find out details of the conversation in Forget Me Not. So … we will see. But that’s honestly a logical way to take it … hmmm.
That better not be the excuse. Such a cop-out. Ill be super annoyed if that’s how TPTB play it… I feel like he’s used that & similar excuses before.
