I’m as much a GSR girl as a lot of the fans out there, but I saw some stuff on tumblr today that really bothered me, including some of the fans being blocked from the CSI Writer’s Room twitter account because they were just relentless. There comes a point where we need to breathe, you know.
But yeah, come on. This part of the fandom will all be on ring watch until the day Hank and Grissom walk in the door again.
Ohhh yeah, I didn’t know that… Agree, you can express your feelings, disappointment, being upset, etc. but there does come a time when you need to… Cool it/breathe.

I didn’t know about it either til things rolled across my tumblr dash today. I’ve spent a LOT of time analyzing the show over the last week – from GSR to Laura – and I’ve tweeted at the writers, but when I saw that, it bothered me a lot. There comes a point where we need to be human beings, you know. *shrugs*
But on the flip side …
There are always silver linings.
And it really makes me wonder about a few things, including Sara’s “moment” with Taylor that was caught on camera. It had to have been the night they split up and she went out and got drunk or something because if “they aren’t even separated” like the quote is … technically … she cheated on her husband.
But it gives us fodder for discussion.
Ok, I’m the last person to ever want to think Sara would do something… stupid, but those pictures of her kissing the guy have been bugging me ever since the episode because thats exactly what Ive been thinking. Everyone’s saying how their not divorced, she’s wearing the ring, etc., but she didn’t… Cheat?
And I haven’t seen anything really out of the ordinary on my dash, but I’m sure it’s out there & in the tweets.

Eu espero mesmo que o Billy possa ajudar a reconstruir os corações das fãs como eu. Não ligo pro fato da idade tê-lo feito ficar com todos os cabelos brancos ou engordado um pouquinho. Acho que assim como eu, o que todo mundo quer é que o GSR volte pras TV’s.
Sinto falta de momentos como “Since I meet you”, “Honey”, ou então o beijo de “Good bye and good luck”. Mas nada se compara a cena final de “Butterflied”. Ah, isso sim traz saudades. É o que eu quero para os próximos episódios/temporadas de CSI.
I’m not really sure how I feel about it… I’m kind of annoyed about chain yanking. Maybe there’s a mad scramble behind the scenes to get Billy? “Look! We made you the asshole!”

While Sara’s line about how “he had my best interests in mind” or whatever it was, was very telling about the decision made, I think there’s so much more to it. And I still can’t see him as the bad guy. He might be off playing somewhere, but she’s made the decision to stay in Vegas like she has. It’s a two way street. And I really hope they explore it. I hope. But we’ll see.
Either way, they know what gets the ratings up.
And Jorja’s grin in the OMG interview really says volumes now.
Totally agree its a two way street, but I’m not gonna pretend I’m not a little annoyed with Billy… Grissom. But Sara has her faults in this too, can’t point the finger completely at just one.
And I’m not a fan of the chain yanking either. I want all roads pointing in one direction, though I know that’ll never happen
I so hope they explain that line! I’m dying to know his reasoning & thoughts behind all this & what she meant by saying he thought it was best for her…

Would love to get my hands on the orginal transcript, as see the scences that never made to the final cut. I think that the 60/40 in favour of the relationship really made them reconsider the ‘break up’. I was okay with the thought of seperation which kind of made Sara’s kiss okay with me, but now if it was no seperation what the hell was she doing?
It feels like Don McGill is backtracking here, his story just doesn’t jive with the episode I watched.
Call it a seperation, seperation is good, it makes room for reconciliation. If not a seperation what was “he’s not my husband anymore”. Sorry this explaination of GSR doesn’t sit so well with me.
Okaaaaaay. I can breathe again. It would really be hard to reconcile this now without WP. So, let’s hope.

I understand why CSI writers decided to block many fans : a lot of GSR fans are disrespectfuf and some of them insult people who don’t have the same opinion. Some think everybody have to love GSR and stop watching CSI because they ‘broke up’ GSR. Sorry but CSI is not only GSR, it’s a crime show not a soap… I love Sara and8 Grissom but I don’t like GSR anymore (since season 10)

Okay, they might be just thinking about their marriage and future together, I get it. But why didn’t they say so? Why not say it clearly that we are having a tough time and we are taking a time-out. Unless… the writers are trying to find out, how many fans they can piss off by saying things that get people angry and then confusing us…
I’m happy that GSR is not over and that they are not giving Sara flings. That would have been too mean… But I hope they will give us a solution we can all understand. And I hope they do it before they turn in to

You know what, I may be crazy and require some kind of medical treatment, but I keep watching FMN all over again. I love it. I really do. All what was said above makes me wonder how are they going to deal with the plot tonight. I saw in her eyes she still loves him and cannot overcome this whole affair. And as to cheating. She kissed that guy. So what? It doesn’t mean they ended up in bed, does it? And as I’m all for Sara here I don’t see anything wrong in kissing. She’s all alone for like what? 3 years? She’s good looking young lady with human needs. If she met a guy who is seeking her affection why not have some fun? Remember she’s probably upset after the talk with Gris, maybe she wanted to cheer herself up, she met the guy, had few drinks and that was their way of saying good bye. Just maybe. And the way she talked to Nick and Greg in the final scene. . I got the impression she wanted to say sth like I won’t give up on him that easily either. Oh, I so can’t wait till tomorrow! The time difference is killing me!

She’s too much in love with him to have sex even after few additional drinks ;D However seeing her that happy kissing Taylor was great. I’d love to see her that way more often. I am pissed about having my chain yanked. I think all of this talk of Billy possibly coming back is just talk to keep us watching. Until they advertise his return I won’t believe it.
As for Sara, I just want my GSR intact. They could have created a lot more angst wth her being a suspect in a murder case and possibly threats to her mother without breaking up the GSR. I loved Jorja’s acting in the last episode, but I still want the GSR to be her source of strength.
As for her kissing that guy, if there was a suggestion from Grissom that they may be better off splitting up I could see Sara being depressed and looking for love. That being said it’s one thing to flirt and kiss someone, but to fall in love with someone else once you have found your soulmate is entirely another story. I do hope the writers go in this direction with Sara trying to move on, but then calling Grissom to say “no way, your the guy I want to be with”. This would be a believeable move.
If Lady Heather does return it would be interesting to see her working with Sara and also her helping Sara and Grissom’s relationship. Otherwise, leave her be.
Completely agree with this. I’m strongly in favour of GSR, and Lady Heather has been an integral part of their relationship in one way or another. She’s the only woman i ever saw as a real threat to Sara and Gil’s relationship – and I REALLY wanted to hate her for it , but i couldn’t! She’s attractive, intelligent, intuitive and a good match for Grissom – on paper. But once it became clear that he was in love with Sara, and I saw Heather as less of a threat, I really started to like her. I think she could be the one to bring them back together and help them work through their problems once and for all. Here’s hoping anyway.

I can be more accepting of what the writers are doing for the sake of drama as long as GSR is preserved. And, although I’d love to have WP back, I don’t need him. So much of the important moments in their relationship have happened off screen anyway. I think a lot of viewers don’t get it, but as GSR fans we seem to be conditioned to it; accepting, but always wanting more.
I’m particularly happy to know there won’t be any rebound flings; that was a big concern for me, since I really feel that Sara could not ever really move on. I just don’t see her giving up on Grissom. She never has, and at this point in her life, I can’t see her doing that. I remember a quote by David Rambo in season 8. Something like: Grissom and Sara will always love each other; and they will have to decide if they want to stay together in an imperfect relationship, or find a relationship with someone else and settle for less. I can’t imagine Sara settling for less. And after witnessing Grissom’s absolute despair in his exit arc, then his absolute love and relief after finding Sara in the jungle, I can’t imagine Grissom would settle for less either.
I’m well aware that CSI isn’t all about GSR, it never has been; and it’s not all about Sara, it never has been; and it’s not a soap, or even a true procedural. CSI is the sum of its moving parts: the awesome production and stage sets, the crimes, the science, the characters and their storylines. GSR has been a part of CSI essentially since the beginning. Destroying that is just unconscionable to me.
I’ll go with Jorja through Sara’s journey, as long as it leads back to her one and only, Gil Grissom. And maybe by series end, WP will return.

Good point! But whatever happens to GSR I will follow Sara. Just how I am. If they want me to choose between them, for me the choice is easy: Jorja and Sara. But honestly I wouldn’t like to make that choice. WP is a great actor and I do have loads of respect towards him but if he isn’t going to show up for the sake of GSR I won’t be crying. He made a serious decision 4 years ago. He left. It’s up to him now whether to come back or not. And I think only Jorja can persuade him to do so. As for Lady H it would be nice seeing her again. This time I think she will help Sara to work out things with her marriage. She knows Gris like nobody else and can be extremally helpful this time :p
Exactly. While Sara has always held his heart, Lady H has always understood his mind. If anyone can help them it’s her. Whenever she shows up there seems to be an implication for GSR. Since she used to be the biggest threat to them, it would be a nice ‘turning of the tables’ if she ended up being the one that brings them back together for good.

Hmm, maybe there is more to all this then what we think. It’s possible. Alot of things seeemed off and a bit ooc in FMN. Like where was Brass, bc we all know he always looked out for her, esp in season 4 when she started drinking heavier. So why wouldnt he be there for her this time. Brass I think knows alot more about Griss and Sara then the others, at least relationship wise. I think in The good, the bad, and the dominatrix, Brass told Cath “I know something alot juicer than Grissom and Lady Heather.” And we all know how much more upset she would be like before I think. We know she wouldnt give up that easy. ldk maybe Sara has a huge secret up her sleeve that she isnt ready to share and that was the only way she could cover it up. lol idk this is just my imagination running.
The clever episode title “Forget Me Not” is reminiscent of the hallowing stare from the eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg. A hedonistic effort to boost ratings for “sweeps” undermined the integrity of the characters developed over a decade sadly risking viewers’ loyalty and understandably questioning any respect for the producers. While the episode told a story about heartache, it revealed a greater loss. A triumphant franchise sacrificed artistry for the foul, material-driven world of business.
Sadly, an alternative explanation for the demise of GSR is just as disappointing. Producers provided some insight in several interviews. An acquiescence that William Petersen most likely will not return to CSI has occurred, albeit the revelation remains shrouded in a remorseful betrayal. “Forget Me Not” felt like retaliation against Petersen. But does deviating irrationally from 13 years of work on GSR remedy the pain inflicted by Petersen’s negligence to the CSI franchise?
Amidst such bleakness from business or Petersen’s bus(y)ness, there is a green light. The acting talent of Jorja Fox radiates a strong yet solitary faith. Amidst the negligent portrayal of Sara Sidle’s relationship with her husband, Jorja Fox’s bitter sweet, triumphant work assuaged – prevented – the destruction which the literal writing conveyed.
My plea to the producers is to triumph Jorja Fox’s talents to showcase the painful tenacity and tearful strength which will allow Sara to survive and ultimately prevail. If the demise of GSR is Sara’s fate then please do not oversimplify her love to romantic relationships. I always thought that it would be Sara’s character who would symbolize continuity through motherhood. Sara’s soul – once vowed to another – overflows with unconditional love and hope despite tragic neglect or abuse. Give Sara the chance to thrive in the beauty of happiness and the innocence of her child – maybe adopted from Chile. Ideally, Grissom returns to the family Sara has proudly nurtured. Regardless, in such darkness, let Sara’s green light shine strongly and independently.

These comments make no sense in the context of what we saw in the last 2 episodes. The only explanation I can think of is that somewhere between the episodes they think they are making and what is actually shown on TV, the episodes magically change. Maybe we should send them the episodes to watch to bring them up to date with canon.

I guess TPTB learned from the past that they can always get a ratings boost from some Grissom-Sara drama. In any case, I’ve been watching CSI for 13 years (although not all the episodes lately), and I think I’m getting tired of (or just too old for) the chain-yanking games.
You make the excellent point that I’ve been confused with since last night. And though neither am I promoting such a campaign, sarcastically speaking, we should do that & I agree. What we are hearing & seeing is not consistent w/ what we are seeing in the episodes. And I don’t like it, at all. And if they really are, because who really knows anymore, trying to work on working it out (the writers) they should wait a little before they get our hopes up just to dash them. Just about two weeks ago it was “Sara Grissom”, & now no ring, while all the time their saying they don’t think it’s really over, their just taking a brake? Your not the only one to old & to tired for the games.
It appears CBS has won sweeps month ratings wise, so the GSR drama has helped with that.
I’m still trying to figure out how Laura got hold of the booze. The creepy stalker guy came to see her, but I wasn’t clear whether he came to the hospital or if he came to the care home and maybe gave her the alcohol. Or maybe homes in Vegas let the patients out to party sometimes.

No in the long run of things since this was the story from before CSI came about. This isn’t over. Some marriages hit a rock…. And how long did we deal with Catherine’s Ex? But certainly opens the doorway for Gil to come back. I’m a newer fan. Although I did have a thing for what I could see of Jorja in Memento and ER. But William Petersen. That goes way way back. He can’t even play a bad guy right (The Contender) So the show will always be waiting for Gil… since they fudge some of the facts usually. I don’t entirely see why having a husband wife team on the show is a big deal..
