Review
This one gets four stars from me for excellent acting and a lot of scenes with Jorja! She was funny, witty and smart, not to mention an all around hero, saving two lives.

Jorja was not listed in the credit. Why? Good episode, every body busy, and Bobby D is back.
Yes, very good episode. Little unexpected twists here and there. Liked it very much. Jorja was very good as always. Please TPTB, give us a Grissom mention; I'm dying here...
Screencaps and recaps are up.
Amusing episode, nice acting, and Jorja was great. I think she wasn't in the credits because it would be a PITA to change them every couple eps. Though Law&Order:CI does it so who knows. CSI is always it's own thing. They often have main cast who aren't in the credits (David Berman's been main cast for a couple years and only just made the credits).
Actually David Berman was made series regular only last year along with Liz.... Yeah, it would be very confusing to have different opening credits depending on whether Jorja is in the epi or not. I guess this is all part of her contract. I'm curious to know what was included in her contract and how much they are paying her for bringing a bit stability back to the show.
All in all a good episode, but I had to watch it again to get it all--whenever they said Sam (esp. Cath) I thought Braun and whenever they said Hank I thought Peddigrew.
Couldn't they think of two different male first names??
I was very disappointed--pissed--that they didn't put Jorja back in the opening credits sequence. The editors have no trouble at all taking them out the episode after a departure like Fishburne instead of Petersen in The Grave Shift.
And they have the regular cast in the credits even if they aren't in that particular episode, like Jorja in Formalities and Jackpot.
I was more concerned though that Sara and Ray are spending so much time together and look to me to be flirting--and you know how subtle the flirting is and has always been! Since Grissom has not been mentioned at all in two months--just how solid is their relationship these days?
Writers, please! One little GSR line, one little phone call, a photo! Anything!
I'm dyin' here!

I think Sara and Ray are hanging together because they have so much in common even if they don't know it yet. But, it's nothing romantic, it's more life related. Both had violent fathers and both worry that they might have inherited that trait from pappa dearest.
When are we going to here about Grissom? What is the Dude up to?
I liked that Sara caught on to the fact that Catherine and Detective Varton are an item. Pity none of the crew realized that Sara and Grissom were together. Sara line to Catherine "I am a trained observer." was classic Sara.
I watched the episode a second time today, but couldn't find anything that looked like Sara flirting with Ray.
I really liked this episode, mostly due to lots of Jorja, of course. Sara was woven through the episode to interact with almost everyone, and it was nicely done. She truly was the 'glue' in this episode; I just thought she brought out something better in every character here. Specifically, I liked the Sara/Catherine and Sara/Ray scenes. I agree with Sharron, nothing romantic between Ray and Sara, just nice friendly banter.
Flirting doesn't have to be romantic. It's more like ... Sara likes to tease him, like she used to tease Greg.
Okay, it is unanimous both here and on GSR Forever Online. I am a doofus and paranoid about this. lol. And all of you have valid and good points and opinions.
But:
1. Everything Billy has said recently has indicated he is in no rush to return to CSI, he is very happy, satisfied with his theater work, will never do another TV series (as CSI was the best)...I think the best we can hope now for is a cameo sometimes.
2. Long distance relationships are notoriously difficult to maintain.
3. Sometimes it is true that out of sight means out of mind.
4. The powers that be are continuing to push Fishburne as the lead actor--which begs the question, why not have Catherine as the lead? Is it really too much to expect a female lead in the 21st century? Isn't that sexist, or am I even more paranoid? LOL.
5. Sara has always been attracted to older men in authority--and sometimes she looks for validation in inappropriate places. LOL.
6. Ray and Sara have something more in common other than a violent father; they are both somewhat on the outside of the tight clique that has developed without them. Though I know Cath and Nick and Greg adore Sara (and Jorja!)
7. Flirtation might be a stretch at this point. But I see Sara lighting up when she talks to or sees Ray. Maybe it is just her natural friendliness and warm personality--both the character and the actress--and I'm completely off base.
8. If Grissom is completely written out of the show...you see where I'm going.
9. Believe me, I want Grissom/Billy back as much or more than anyone, and it will give me absolutely no satisfaction to say I told you so!
Thanks for all your responses--I do not take them to heart! I like to know what you think.

I'll make it pretty simple for you: They're not breaking up Grissom and Sara.
Seriously.
I can cite proof, fact, statement, blah blah blah. End of the day, this is the ultimate truth. Grissom and Sara are married and will remain so until both Jorja and Billy have nothing to do with the show. William Petersen's still an exec-producer, remember that and hold onto it. He likes GSR. It's here to stay.
If you REALLY want, I can break apart each of your points with quotes from articles by Billy, Jorja, Carol and Nareen, but ... eh. Either you believe me or you don't. And I'm 100% certain that they're staying together.
You got it. I'll stop now. No offense.
Nah, none, I just hate seeing people work themselves into a froth over something that's set in stone
I know fandom's a fickle beast, but on this we are absolute. It's rare, but it happens.
The most entertaining thing about these boards is not, ironically, the news of what the star(s) is/are doing. It's reading the angst and theories put forth by the fans (and I have been known to do that myself). So, I have to say THANKS to IloveJorja -- it was totally entertaining to read your worries (and I hope you are feeling less worried now). I have to agree with Ipstenu; I don't think there are plans afoot to break up Grisson and Sara, no matter how totally unbelievable it is that she's in Vegas and happily married to someone galavanting about in Paris. But good TV, like good novels (or even good fan fiction) prompts us to suspend disbelief. So take off your logical thinking cap and just go with the flow -- they're happily married and living on different continents and it's working for them.
Seeing as my father lived like that for a couple years, I have no problem believing it's possible for the 'Modern Couple' ... And Sara and Grissom kind of remind me of my Dad and his wife. Except with the whole mom-killing-dad bit. And the deaf. But yeah.
I don't not believe that husbands and wives can't live apart (my husband and I did, when we were younger and had jobs in different states). But since the CSI storyline was set up that a) Sara couldn't stand it in Vegas anymore and b) Grissom couldn't stand it anymore without Sara, it's WEIRD, to say the least, that Sara is (seemingly happily) back in Vegas while Grissom is (we assume happily) teaching at the Sorbonne. (I could go into how damn unlikely THAT is, but I won't.) Whatever...I love the romance and I love the show! I repeat: suspend disbelief.
What is so odd about the Grissom's marriage. This type of marriage has been around for centuries, except the roles are reversed. Instead of the husband going on international business trips for weeks, or tours of duty in the military, or working on oil rigs etc, the wife is doing it.
Since Sara arrived in Vegas at the end of September she has been away from Vegas 4 times (or Jorja has not been in 4 of the 10 episodes. One in Paris, one on a multiple murder out of town and the other 2?). Along with the 2 week break in the season, we can assume (sorry Grissom - I know I shouldn't) Sara was back visiting her husband.
And we can also guess she will see him over the Christmas break. If it was man doing this, we wouldn't bat an eyelid.
As for Sara being in Vegas. If she hasn't got a work permit for France, then she would good crazy (more so than usual) playing housewife to Grissom. She is recovering from her chronic PTS - being able to return to the job and walk away with her head held high would be vital to a character like Sara and hubby would understand this.
When Hannah West returns - this will be a real test for Sara ability to stay on top mentally and walk away the winner. If the producers throw in a domestic abuse case as well for Sara, we will be getting a couple of good shows.
To back up Ipstenu's point - why would TPTB spoil a good thing. CSI has over 90 million fans (at least) worldwide. Half of whom love GSR (according to Ms Fox). Why upset 45 million people? Mess with our minds - yes, but kill the goose the lays the golden egg, not even they can be that dumb
In my happy little world Grissom and Sara are happy until the end of time. Otherwise this whole Costa Rica and marriage thing would have been pretty pointless.
I came to the conclusion a long time ago that if I miss something on a show I assume it happened off screen. Totally works for me.

So naturally I'm absolutely convinced that unless we are specifically told or shown otherwise Sara and Grissom are having crazy monkey sex in Paris. Or anywhere else they like.
Yes, my worries are much relieved and I am frothless, Ipstenu! My logical brain has returned, thanks be.
Great comments, all of you. Thanks for reminding me of the other side(s) of the story. And thanks for not flaming--I knew this would be a provocative topic!
I too imagine they are having wild monkey sex anywhere they want!! LMAO. They don't call me the Queen of Smut for nuthin.
I have to say I do agree with all of you, Why ruin the greatest love story on TV ever? Why break the hearts of tens of millions of fans?
GSR rocks. Long live the Grissom Sara Romance!

hehehehe Now THAT'S the Christmas spirit!!!
"Dear Santa. All I want for Christmas is valid proof that Sara and Grissom have lots of crazy monkey sex anywhere they like. Thank you."

PLEASE don't mention the monkey sex again!! C'mon ppl!! I won't be able to take the plot srsly if I'm thinking bout the monkey sex Gris & Sara are/should be having every time she pops on the screen or he's mentioned.. =P Neverheless, I WOULD love to see a steamy scene between them (& really what better place than Paris for one of those!) Not that we'll ever get one!
"Dear Santa.. (*crossie!*)"
Highly unlikely anyone'll get a steamy scene on CSI, unless it's directly related to a murder or crime. Which would be a hell of a way to end the series... Sara killing Grissom
new question: Would we go that far just to see a steamy sex scene?
And I know it will never happen but one can dream... *sigh*
Dear Santa,
This is what I want for Christmas
1)The new 27 inch iMac with 16 gig of RAM
2)Some fluffy slippers
3)A Grissom/Sara Paris reunion episode (with a hot monkey sex scene included!)
4)World Peace
Thanks Santa.
Sincerely,
AnnaSophia
Suddenly I want to code in a 'like' button just for that
OMG, too funny. I'm still giggling.
ILoveJorja
Oh dear lord, AnnaSophia!! Come to think of it.. That's EXACLY what I want!!
