Okay so I know the very first question I'm going to get here is 'What's a recurring cast member!?' There are no official designations here to help you, since much like TV ratings, it's more of a feel than a definitive thing. My general definitions are as follows:
Main Cast: People who are in the credits.
Guest Cast: Someone cast just for this episode or for multiple episodes, but with no plotline of their own (ie. most of the detectives on CSI)
Special Guest Cast: A 'name' actor or an important role for the episode (Lady Heather or Catherine's ex, Eddie)
Recurring Cast: Someone who's appeared in more than one episode in unrelated storylines, or has their own storyline.
Maggie Doyle, on ER, was recurring, for example. Now, this does not mean that this is how it all ends up for Jorja back on CSI. This just means that, right now, she's listed as Recurring. This ep is still within the first five she was contracted for, so it has little to no bearing on her status in the next episodes.
My gut feeling is that we'll see her in at least half the episodes this season. But I have no sources to confirm or deny that, so take it with some salt.

I agree, this is yet another sign that Jorja will be back more than the planned five episodes. At least half? You could be right Ipstenu. And possibly for many years to come; a girl can dream! After all, didn't we all think that Grissom and Sara were snuggled in a hammock in Central America forever? lol.
"Recurring cast" is an intriguing term. A step above "guest star" and below "starring", hmm. She was credited as special guest star so far this season and uncredited (until the super secret end) of One To Go.
Believe it or not, these placings have a lot of significance. Who gets credited is a major bone of contention among those actors of overinflated egos, unlike our Ms. Fox. :+)
TPTB are further acknowledging that she will be on "indefinitely" (pause for wild applause) and easing her back in the opening credits. When they redo the opening cast shots and include Jorja Fox then...well I know there will be some millions of happy campers.
On the same topic, did else anyone notice in the first season--Cool Change and Crate and Burial--Billy was first (natch) and Jorja was number two in the opening credit sequence? She quickly slid when someone decided Marg was the "costar" (I always thought it more of an ensemble, no offense to Ms Helgenberger). Jorja ended up as number 5. And then 6--after Eric? Not sure.
Keep us posted, Ipstenu.
ILoveJorja
Are you sure about that? I'm really certain Jorja was never second in the credits. It always went Billy, Marg, George, Gary, Jorja .... and ended with Paul.
In cool change she was third, I'm sure she was never second, but she was 3rd in the credits for a little while, and I always thought it went, after that... Billy, Marg, Gary, George, Jorja ... but I could be wrong lol.
I'm with GSRGirl. She was third, not second, for awhile billing wise first season. I always assumed that was because of ER & West Wing (i.e. she had more experience than Gary & George so she got higher billing). At some point first season they went to alphabetical billing with the supporting cast, which is how she moved down in the credits.
If this is what Jorja wants, then I am delighted that she on CSI "indefinately".
I belive Carol Mendleshon said they want Jorja for as much or as often they can.Something about her being the glue of the team. Have I got that right?
