CSI Season Nine Rumors, Spoilers and Speculation

This is an open post for folks to gossip. Here’s the deal of what we know:

  1. Jorja Fox will be back for at least 2 episodes.
  2. Lady Heather comes back.
  3. The characters from ‘Too Tough To Die’ return

There’s more stuff but this is what affects most Jorja/Sara/GSR fans, so I’m putting this out there as it stands. Yes, there’s a rumor about a promo of Sara in Grissom’s office (when I find it, IF it exists, I’ll post about it). Yes, there are promo shots of Grissom at WPAP. But as for all those other rumors about how Sara gets thrown out of the lab, Sara’s pregnant, Grissom cheats on her… That’s all they are. Rumors. I’m not going to waste my time debunking them, and instead I say this:

If I know it’s true, I will post. Otherwise, I say nothing.

Please don’t email asking for ‘more information!’ because if I’m not telling you, its because I don’t know. I’ve already had to blacklist one person for harassment about this. I will report on things as they’re proven, but I don’t waste time on idle spec. It serves no purpose.

News - Ask Ausiello

Now that Ausiello is on EW, and it’s Wednesday, is anyone surprised?

Question: Please set the record straight. Is Jorja Fox doing just the season premiere of CSI, or will she be in additional episodes? — Shane

Ausiello: I don’t want to give away the exact number, so let’s just say she’s doing two more than Gary Dourdan and seven less than William Petersen.

Gary is doing one episode and William is doing ten. That means Jorja? Has three. The original spoilers said she was doing three, and then it said five, and I personally started to wonder if she was doing ‘batches’ and was going to have three visits over multiple episodes. Having not seen all the scripts, I think we can say with 100% certainty that Jorja will be on CSI for three episodes, minimum.

CBS announces CSI will premiere Oct 9.

According to a CBS Press Release, the premiere date was pushed back than the earlier suspected date. Why? Sources suggest it’s related to expected presidential debates. Better to air the first three or so CSI episodes together than air one, and take a week off.

Buddy TV Clears the Air

After the TV Guide article confused everyone, it’s nice that Buddy TV’s Kris De Leon stepped up with a simple explanation. Yes, it’s what we all thought, but it’s nice to have confirmation.

In addition to the first episode of the new season, Fox’s return will include the third episode, which she filmed during the last week of May.

Emmy Nominated for “Goodbye and Good Luck”

No one’s shocked. Jorja’s listed in round one for an Emmy. As we can learn from last year, Greys Anatomy tends to suck up the slots for Best Actress, but here’s hoping. Personally, I thought “Dead Doll” was a strong episode (what shows acting chops more than selling an episode with almost no dialogue?), but Jorja was certainly in the news for this one. She is currently the only CSI actress from any of the three shows to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress. No one from Greys is nominated in that category.
