Open Discussion: “The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp”
Old Vegas deaths, transgendering caused by pollution and a proposal that stings. Read the recap.
(Next week I’ll have this up the same night, but there was a baseball playoff game…)

Okay. The episode … was nice. I didn’t watch all of it (what? I said I was busy) except the Sara scenes, but the “Boys Don’t Cry Like Erin Brockovich” storyline was kidna amusing.
Someone on TWoP mentioned this season felt like fanfiction. Catherine said ‘Conflict of interests’ … I’m totally agreeing there. I mean … it’s like a fantasy show. Which is nice, since this will be the last part of the season I watch religiously. Oh, I’ll still watch, but I’ll watch like I do WaT. Half-watch. SaraWatch
I may need to make a SaraWatch meter ‘How many times is Sara mentioned in an episode’
Thursday 9 p.m.
CSI (CBS)
Viewers: 20.80 million (#1), A18-49: 6.4/15 (#2)
Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)
Viewers: 17.67 million (#2), A18-49: 7.1/17 (#1)
Holy shit.
I really liked this episode. I agree, Ipstenu, the part with Catherine saying “conflict of interest” was like from a twilight zone universe.
Did you catch Paul Cydon=Poseidon?
Ronnie was more normal this time, huzzah.
Greg’s enthusiasm for Vegas history made me smile :).
The bee scene…heh. I guess the bee sensed she was freaking out. It was so completely dorky and so great. But yeah, it was like being in a fanfic.
Yah, ratings up 0.2 million from last week - people are tuning in for GSR, which is a change from last season. Be interesting to see what happens to the ratings after Jorja leaves the show.
Fantasy? Fanfic? Yeah, that fits. It’s not “CSI: like it used to be. I don’t know - both cases felt… unresolved. Okay, Brian probably committed suicide, though they didn’t quite prove it down to the last nail in the coffin. Close enough, though. But like that defense lawyer was saying, they didn’t have any proof at all for the murder of Cydon. And Sara’s case - again, something that should have gone to days rather than swing, but they had to get Sara in there somewhere - was unresolved; the guy is dead, but they don’t know how. Catherine backing off a case because of a conflict of interest. Yeah, right. If they’re going to do that every week, contriving some kind of situation on graveyard just to be able to pass on a case to swing…
Weird in some ways - Grissom had just gotten finished telling Sara that bees wouldn’t sting unless you closed your hand around them or startled them, and then he surprises Sara and she gets stung.
