Marilyn Fox was a Belgian-Canadian who emigrated to the US with her husband, Mark. She was the mother of two children, Jeff and Jorja.
Marilyn worked as a Air Canada reservations agent and died of ovarian cancer.
She was a fan of ER and encouraged Jorja to take the role of Maggie Doyle, even though she was dying of cancer at the time.
Jorja Fox describes her mother: "My mom was a child of the Depression. The thing that gave her the most joy was feeding us. We were eating six meals a day."
