Think back to your life 10 years ago. It was 1999 and we were all wondering if the world would end on December 31st, or at least if our financial systems were going to melt down. Some of you were just starting high school or college, and now you have jobs. Careers. Some of you were just getting married, and some had just had their first baby.
Ten years ago, if anyone had told you that you'd be visiting a site for Jorja Fox, best known as a part-timer on ER and The West Wing you might have chuckled and gone back to watching Seinfeld and The Single Guy. The hottest procedural on TV was Law & Order, who'd just spun off Law & Order: SVU and then CBS had this silly idea that people wanted to see criminalists!
That was our world when CSI: Crime Scene Investigation rolled up to our scene, William Petersen popped off a pithy one-liner, Marg Helgenberger sold us on bling-bling, and Jorja Fox gave us a Three's Company joke.
TV Guide confirms what we always thought, that CSI is one of the best shows of this decade. It certainly changed TV.
Network procedurals are nothing new, but CSI's intense focus on science was. High-tech gadgets, lots of jargon, and the occasional maggot infestation helped the lab nerds look cooler than the beat cops. The original spawned two successful spin-offs to become the Law & Order of the 21st century.

Ten years ago I was 7. Ten years ago I fell in love with CSI. Ten years ago I was sneaking out of bed to watch it on the stairs so no one would know I was awake. When I was 12 I told my mom of my secret addiction and she since then I've gotten each newest season for Christmas.
One of the best? Nah, I say THE best. XD.
I think that list of shows is pretty accurate.
Besides Jorja, is there another actor that has been associated with 3 or more of the top shows of the decade? I'm not sure of the answer; just curious.
All I can think is Elizabeth Mitchell - Main cast or recurring on Lost and ER, with one-shots on House, Everwood, CSI and Law & Order... She gets around
But no, the Trifecta of Jorja's hit shows of the decade is hard to beat.
The closest we really get are the other CSI two-fers: Emily Proctor (CSI: Miami and The West Wing), Marg Helgenberger (ER and CSI) and George Eads (ER and CSI).
I have been wracking my brain for months trying to think of anyone else but Jorja who was in three back to back hit TV shows. Let alone three that are rated the Best of the Decade! So your research and insight really confirms--Jorja Fox is one of a kind. Unique.

Ah, I love Elizabeth Mitchell, but I think she is being wasted in 'V'. We'll see how it returns in the spring.
And kudos to Jorja (x3) for a great decade of TV!
Ten years ago...I was about a thousand weeks pregnant with my second child and already had been given "I'm a Y2K Baby" gifts (he was born a few weeks later, in January). I had a three year old too. I wasn't watching much TV. It was a few more years before my sleep deprivation was sufficiently relieved for me to start watching CSI. Of course, am so glad I did! But I totally missed the first 3-4 seasons; I got caught up through Spike TV while breastfeeding kid #3!
If that was TMI, sorry.
Sometimes I get home late and I can remember when I first heard about CSI.I walked in and my husband said:-"They have been advertising this American show." Or something similar. So yes I have seen from the begining and loved it most of that time.
My first episode was Facelift--my brother and I were in a motel (in Virginia I think) and he said, "You HAVE to watch this show!" Boy was he right.
And the first scene was Cath being bitchy to Sara--"Since when do you care about your appearance?" and I was hooked. What was up between those two, I thought!

Hi all.
I remembered when I first watched CSi and Jorja fox i was in my ending sphmore year in High School. that was in md season 5 but i catch up evently thru the spike channel. of season s1 thru 5 but i did watched season 6through now. I was laughing how Sara appeared on Csi it riled up catherine , as the years goes by they learned to be fair to eachother. Now Sara works under her and they are on good terms. As I watched csi it had me laughing and always worried about one of cast characters get hut etc. and I also learned alot of more science than i was taught in high school.
