How I Became An Elephant: Aaron Sanchez Interview

Jorja’s at the 2:39 mark.

Jorja: This movie is about elephants, it’s for elephants. It’s for our kids and their kids. But it applies to all the world’s animals, and the environment as a whole.

  1. I think they mention that there are fifty thousand elephants in Africa. I know when we having a tour in South Africa we spent six days in Kruger National Park and there we were told there were fifteen thousand elephants in the park and they were worried because the animal were damaging so many trees and bushes and exposing the few rhinos in the park and destroying habitat for leopard and other assorted mammals. They have tried moving a couple of herds to Limpopo National Park in Mozambique both by road and using helicopters try and guide them but they always come back.Kruger is 35 thousand square including Limpopo and another park in Zimbabwe. However in other parts of Africa we have visited we did not see as many elephants.
