Season 14 Spoilers (Not Sara Specific)

So while we’re waiting on substantial spoilers for Sara, how about some general ones for the season? This post was tagged for spoilers, so while they’re pretty benign in so far as they go, they are giving things away.

Let’s start with Teal Redman (Ellie Brass) coming back!

The daughter is back. CSI Files has learned exclusively that Teal Redmann will be returning to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Brass’ (Paul Guilfoyle) daughter Ellie.

Though credited for appearances in last season’s “Strip Maul” and “Skin in the Game,” Redmann’s last appearance was in Season Six’s “Way to Go.” Due to scheduling and the small nature of involvement in those two installments, Redmann did not physically appear and a body double was used instead. After last season’s finale, which saw Ellie and Morgan Brody (Elisabeth Harnois) kidnapped by the Dante’s Inferno killer, Redmann will reprise her role in the premiere with a much larger presence.

And now… well, look, we all knew Morgan was going to live, right?

I’d love some spoilers for the CSI premiere. — Shawn
You might want to grab some hankies. Although this year’s first episode once again deals with the team searching for a kidnapped loved one, executive producer Don McGill warns fans to prepare for a less rosy outcome than a year ago. “A person close to the CSI family will die,” he reports. “The first image of the premiere is a memorial service. If fans look closely, they will notice some faces missing. So the question is: Who’s in the casket?” Although McGill says that everyone on the team is touched by the loss, look for D.B. Russell to take it particularly hard. “He’s in crisis by the end; he feels responsible,” McGill says. “The decisions he made, he really will have to pay for. We’ll see as the season progresses that there may be some questioning of his purpose.”

“A person close to the CSI family…” (emphasis mine) implies it’s not Morgan. But at the same time, I don’t think it’s Ellie. We know it’s not Sara, Nick, or Greg, by the way. I’m hoping for someone out of left field. Who do you want to die?

Let’s end with a public non-spoiler

It’s a Cheers reunion!

  1. I think it’s the journalist. I’m only in doubt because he did not create bonds with others.

    1. Nooo! They can’t kill Gaius Baltar! 😉 (Sorry, I liked Battlestar Galactica).

Would he really have made DB so overwrought? I’m wondering if it’s someone wild like a lab rat.

  2. The thought of losing Sara would be unbearable. She is the heart and soul of the show.

Grissom would be a welcome sight.

  3. I put the picture of the teaser on my Instagram and someone commented that Brass might be the one who died: because he’s not there, he might have died trying to save Ellie and Morgan and he’s very close with the CSI family, I hope it’s not though,

  4. Let’s see, Brass, Morgan, lab rats, doc Robbins and super-Dave are missing. Am I forgetting someone?

We will just have to wait and see, I quess… I’m soooooo waiting september, season 13 starts here in Finland and season 14 in there. 🙂

  5. Just guessing but maybe Jim or Hodges, these two might be the ones who would rush into danger to save girls… Dunno maybe someone less important… They just love makin us nervous 😉

  6. The more I read, the more I’m thinking it’s Jim. Will be gutted if it’s him – he’s one of my fave characters.

  7. I am inclined to think it is Brass. He has been in fewer and fewer episodes and it has to be someone close to DB for him to be this upset. There are few he could lose to make him that upset but Brass would do it I think.

  8. Is it really really bad that my first thought after reading comments suggesting it could be Brass was “well, the odds are they won’t kill off Grissom then(later in the season or whenever). It can’t be Brass AND Grissom can it..” Seriously though, I hope it’s not Brass. While I’ve no doubt it’d make a great hard-hitting episode it’d make me genuinely sad as Brass has always been like a constant you can rely on and sure, massively underused in latest seasons but nonetheless still very much there. Hard to imagine him not being there in the final ever episode.

  9. What about Ecklie—is that spelled right? The article said DB is so upset because he is thinking the death is his fault, caused by some of the decisions he made.

    1. thought that myself. he’s been around as comrade longer than Grissom. and getting him off would kill the bad blood between the two. Hodges. just can’t see. Mostly because one never knows if Wendy comes back. Unless it’s someones pet… Maybe Hodges girlfriend etc. I’m a bit behind because I started watching shows on Google Play and CSI isn’t there yet. Still stuck on itunes and even in SD on a high end computer it never runs right.

  10. It’s not gonna be Ecklie, that we know for sure. And I hope that it won’t be Brass either. Why can’t it be september already?
