“Girls Gone Wilder” Due Nov. 9

I’m going to preface this with a gif. This is how the rescheduling makes me feel.

You too, huh? The CSIWritersRoom Twitter account has been told that GGW will air Sunday:

The reason for the non-airing was football double headers. Personally I’m a baseball fan myself. At least that generally has the decency to be done before TV season. I root for a team who rarely makes the playoffs.

By now most of you have read The National Report’s article that CBS Cancels ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’; Will Not Return After Mid-season Break.

They’re not correct. There’s no mid-season break, never was. CSI was always supposed to air all episodes straight through, and we already talked about why it was scaled back to 18 episodes.

See? Not true.

Is this the show’s last season? It really depends on a couple things. First, how well is the uptick from the recent two ep postponement (which means please watch!) and second, do take the time to write in and tell CBS that you want CSI to stick around. And let me stress, that national news site? It’s the only one reporting on this. You really think TV|Line would miss out on that juicy news?

Stupid spoof sites.

  1. I have everything crossed that it will air! Have sent a letter from the UK today expressing my saddness at time slot change and the problem it causes! I also made it clear that as international viewer I really don’t want this icon series to end! I open every fan send a note in! Thanks for all your updates!

  2. That site is always satire/spoof. It is interesting that on election day, they posted an article about CSI.

This late Sunday time slot is a no-win-no way situation. IMO, its clear CBS is pushing CSI off the air. I do hope tptb are planning an appropriate ‘send-off’ and goodbye for CSI instead of their usual cliff-hanging CSI/friend/family in peril story.

    1. @janet: Usually sites like the Onion make it a little more apparent they’re for humor.

      From http://www.theonion.com/faq/

Obviously that site is attempting to do the same, but without the disclaimers.

      1. @Janet: Or they’re FOX news…

By the way, it’s really polite if you don’t use a different email every time you comment. That runs the risk of tripping spam filters and getting you blocked without me noticing.

  3. First off, that gif made me laugh for a good five minutes! xD Second, I agree that TPTB may be trying to push CSI off the air which is why I sent a letter in about the preemptions. I dont think any show should be forcibly manipulated from the air when they still bring in ratings regardless of how old the show is. They should be permitted to come to a natural end. That said, March Madness has always been the thorn in my side! A solid month of repeats for every show I watch just kills me! :’(
