Sneak Peek for “Honeymoon in Vegas”

There’s another new episode next week:

Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle come to the aid of a former colleague who is implicated in tampering with evidence. Maxine and the rest of the CSI team work the murder of a couple slain on their wedding day, following the evidence to the salacious underbelly of the Las Vegas elite, on CSI: VEGAS, Wednesday, Oct. 13 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Sounds like Grissom and Sara won’t be able to help Hodges. Actually it sounds like no one will. What do you think will happen?

(Obviously they’ll do something or this will be a super short series and we know it’s 10 episodes.)

  1. Do we know if there are plans to continue on the series after this season? It is a one season only series?

I’ll be so sad if it’s a definite 1 season series, but anything we can get right

  2. Thought about this myself. Are Sara and Grissom just a “clickbait” for one season? How could they (the characters, not actors) justifiably come back to the lab full time working, especially Grissom, and can’t imagine they’d do a repeat of season 10 and bring just Sara again. Hm.

    1. They’re not click-bait, in that Jorja has expressed a willingness to stick around if they get season 2. I suspect if they lightened Billy’s load, he would too (he got exhausted and had to be taken from set during filming).

      1. Oh don’t get me wrong, I’d absolutely love that. I’m just wondering how they’re going to incorporate their characters into the lab full or even part time after they solve this case.

  3. As the original plan was for a 3-4 hour limited reunion, I’m happy with 10 episodes. We get the lab corruption story plus an added independent case each week. And even if the preview shows Grissom and Sara being told they can’t work the corruption case because they previously worked with Hodges, we know that something happens so they do…I’m worried about the future of the other original character.
I’m also worried about the rating numbers for the first episode.

    1. There were a couple plans:

      1. A reunion ‘special’ with interviews and a group zoom
      2. A 3-6 episode mini-series
      3. A 10 ep series

The ratings are interesting, aren’t they? 3.97 million viewers and a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 target demo, per Nielsen, who recently lost accreditation. Or gave it up. (I work on another site that talks about this in detail). But on the other hand, CSI was 54% better than the previous show in that time slot! Plus they were all up against the MLB game.

As my favourite Manga likes to say “The real battle starts with the second chapter.”
