New Day, New Chef: Support and Feed
Posted on August 2, 2020 • By Mika E. (Ipstenu) • 2 min read • 328 wordsJorja is (of course) helping out in these unprecedented times, raising money for vegan food to those in need.
The popular vegan cooking show New Day New Chef is returning to Amazon Prime Video for a special series showcasing Support and Feed, a nonprofit organization helping those in need during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.
For those new to the idea, the Support and Feed organization supplies vegan food to children’s charities, homeless and domestic abuse shelters, food banks, family and senior centers by supporting vegan restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia. After all, people shouldn’t have to decide between safety and principles.
The creator of Support and Feed is Maggie Baird – an actress, screenwriter, vegan, and just happens to be mother of musicians Billie Eilish and Finneas, who are also vegan. The series follows her passion project and how it’s growing.
The series is hosted by journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell, with special appearances by Billie Elish, Finneas, Downton Abbey’s Lesley Nicol, the original “Bye Felicia” – Angela Means-Kaaya, supermodel Joanna Krupa, influencer Kyle Krieger,_ Dynasty_’s Elaine Hendrix, CSI’s Jorja Fox, Lost’s Emilie de Ravin, and American Idol announcer Mark Thompson.
Two episodes have been released on Amazon Prime (US only, but included in default Prime), but they’re both the Lesley Nicol episodes. What that means? Well I have no idea when (or if!) Jorja’s episode will air. They’ve already filmed it (don’t worry, they social distanced and recorded from home!) but it may be hung up in post processing, which actually takes a lot longer with everyone remote.
As soon as it’s up, you know I’ll share everything I can.
Fans of LeFox is a fan run website with the goal of sharing information about actress, advocate, and humanitarian, Jorja Fox.
